The Atlantic: “My 150 Writing Mentors and Me”

Some great takeaways for young writers in this article in the Atlantic. It’s written by Joe Fassler, who created “By Heart,” a series I highly recommend.

The TLDR-version of “My 150 Writing Mentors and Me” is this: If you want to write — start now. And find a way to suppress the feeling that anything you write won’t be good enough because, most of the time, it won’t be. Cheery, I know. But Fassler makes this point well — and manages to do it in a way that’s far more inspirational than I expected. It’s definitely worth a read.
